TextMaster allows you to link your account with Google or Microsoft for a streamlined login experience using Single Sign-On (SSO). By connecting your TextMaster account with one of these services, you can access your projects more securely and conveniently, without the need to remember additional login credentials. Follow this tutorial to manage your linked accounts and set up SSO.

Accessing linked accounts settings

  • Navigate to account settings: After logging into your TextMaster account, locate the user icon or your name in the top-right corner of the dashboard. Click on it to access the drop-down menu, then select "My Profile" to open your user notification settings.

  • Find the linked accounts section: Within the account settings page, scroll down or navigate to the "Linked accounts" section. Here, you’ll see options to connect your account with Google or Microsoft.

Connecting your Google account

  • Connect with Google: To link your Google account, click the "Connect with Google" button. A new window will open, prompting you to sign in to your Google account if you aren’t already logged in.

  • Grant permissions: After signing in, you will be asked to grant TextMaster permission to access your Google account. Review the permissions and click "Allow" to proceed. This will link your Google account to your TextMaster profile.

  • Confirmation: Once connected, you will see a confirmation message in the Linked Accounts section, and the button will have changed, indicating that your account is now linked.

Connecting your Microsoft account

  • Connect with Microsoft: To link your Microsoft account, click the "Connect with Microsoft" button. A new window will open, prompting you to sign in to your Google account if you aren’t already logged in.

  • Grant permissions: After signing in, you will be asked to grant TextMaster permission to access your Microsoft account. Review the permissions and click "Allow" to proceed. This will link your Google account to your TextMaster profile.

  • Confirmation: Once connected, you will see a confirmation message in the Linked Accounts section, and the button will have changed, indicating that your account is now linked.

Managing and disconnecting linked accounts

  • View linked accounts: You can view the status of your linked accounts at any time by returning to the Linked Accounts section in your Account Settings. Both Google and Microsoft will display their respective status as connected or disconnected.

  • Disconnect an account: If you wish to disconnect a linked account, click the "Disconnect" button next to the respective service.

  • Impact of disconnecting: Note that disconnecting a linked account will require you to use your TextMaster email and password for future logins, as SSO will no longer be available through the disconnected service.
