Project templates are a powerful feature in TextMaster that allow you to save time and ensure consistency across your translation and copywriting projects. By creating templates for recurring project types, you can quickly launch new projects with predefined settings, reducing the need for repetitive setup tasks.
Navigate to the "Project Templates" Section: After logging into your TextMaster account, go to the "Project Templates" section. This is where all your existing templates are stored and where you can create new ones.
Click on "New Template": To create a new template, click on the "New Template" button. This will open the project template creation form, where you can define the settings for your new template.
Creating a project template is almost the same as creating a project. The main difference is that you don't need to import your content.
Choose the service type: Start by selecting the type of service you want to create a template for — translation, copywriting, or proofreading. This selection will tailor the template to the specific needs of that service.
Name your template: Give your template a clear and descriptive name, such as "Monthly Marketing Translations" or "Standard Product Descriptions". This will help you easily identify and reuse the template in the future.
Select source and target languages: Choose the source language of the content and the target languages into which it needs to be translated. You can select multiple target languages if needed.
Define project details:
Level of translation: Select the appropriate translation level — Standard, Enterprise, or Expert— based on the complexity and importance of the content.
Add a briefing: Include any specific instructions for the translators or copywriters, such as preferred terminology, tone, or format requirements. This is also where you can provide your style guide.
Assign favorite authors: If you have preferred translators or writers, assign them to the template to ensure consistency across projects.
Add extra options:
Translation Memory: Activate the translation memory feature to ensure that previously translated content is reused, maintaining consistency and reducing costs.
Glossaries: Attach any relevant glossaries to the template so that translators have access to the correct terminology.
Save the template: Once all settings are configured, click "Save" to create your project template. Your template is now ready to be used for new projects.

Tips: You can also quickly create a project template from an existing project.
Launch a new project using a template: When creating a new project, you can choose from your saved templates to pre-fill the project setup form. Either go to your project templates and click "Create a project" in front of the template you wish to use. Or you can click the "Use template" button from the projects listing.
Customize as needed: Although the template will pre-fill most settings, you can still customize specific details for each new project, such as the project title, deadline, or any unique instructions for that particular instance. See the page below for details on how to import your content:
Important: Don't forget to activate the translation memory option in order to benefit from the repetitions. This option is not activated by default and must be selected during the project creation step.
Save or launch the project: After reviewing the settings, save the project for later or launch it immediately. Using a template ensures that your projects are consistently set up, reducing the likelihood of errors or omissions.
By using project templates, you can streamline the project creation process, ensure consistency, and reduce the time spent on administrative tasks, allowing you to focus more on the quality and outcomes of your projects.
