Requesting revisions and providing feedback are crucial steps in ensuring that your translation or copywriting projects meet your exact standards. The TextMaster platform offers intuitive tools to facilitate these processes, allowing you to communicate clearly with the assigned authors and make necessary adjustments to the work before final approval.
Note: You have 7 days after project delivery to request revisions. After this period, the project will be automatically approved.
Navigate to "Projects": Log in to your TextMaster account and go to the "Projects" section. Here, you’ll find a list of all your active, pending, and completed projects.
Select the project: Click on the project that you wish to review. This will open the project details page, where you can view the content submitted by the translator or copywriter.
Open the submitted task(s): In the project details page, locate and open the task(s) submitted by the author. Review the content thoroughly, checking for accuracy, adherence to instructions, and overall quality.
Identify areas for revision: As you review the content, make note of any sections that require changes. Common areas for revision might include incorrect terminology, formatting issues, or sections that don’t align with the project brief.
Click on "Ask For A Revision": If revisions are needed, click on the "Ask For A Revision" button within the project details page. This will open a dialogue box where you can communicate directly with the author.
Provide detailed feedback: In the dialogue box, provide clear and specific feedback on the revisions needed. Mention the exact sections that require changes and explain what needs to be adjusted. For example, you might point out a mistranslated term or ask for a different tone in the copywriting.
Submit the revision request: Once you’ve detailed the necessary changes, click the submit button to send your revision request to the author. The project will now be marked as "Under Revision" until the updates are made.
Tips: You can also send messages to the translator without triggering the revision process and the project's status change.
Receive notification: You will receive a notification when the author has completed the revisions and resubmitted the project for your review.
Review the updated content: Open the revised file and carefully review the changes made by the author. Ensure that all requested revisions have been addressed and that the content meets your standards. If further revisions are needed, repeat the process by requesting additional changes.
Tips: If the quality of the translation is subpar even after multiple revisions, you can request moderation from one of our language managers.
Rate the project (optional): Before approving the project, you have the option to rate the author’s work using a star system. This rating helps maintain the quality of work on the platform and provides valuable feedback to the author.
Leave a comment (optional): Along with the rating, you can leave a comment for the author, providing specific feedback on what was done well and what could be improved. Constructive feedback is beneficial for both you and the author in future collaborations.
By following these steps, you can effectively manage revisions and provide feedback on your TextMaster projects, ensuring that the final content meets your expectations and maintains high quality.
